Title: Stellar population studies in the incoming J-PAS survey
Abstract: During the biannual meeting of the SEA, Luis presented part of the stellar population studies performed in our stellar population group at the IAA. In particular, he focused on presenting those works involving JPAS-like data. Luis briefly introduced the J-PAS and miniJPAS survey, as well as the SED-fitting codes that we are developing and upgrading in our group: MUFFIT and BaySeAGal. Luis introduced some of the relevant stellar population results obtained since 2021, more precisely, the distribution of the stellar population properties of galaxies across the stellar mass vs colour diagram, the cosmic evolution of the star formation rate density, the Machine Learning methodologies carried out by our student Ginés, the role on enviroment in quenching the star formation, and the distribution of the stellar population properties of galaxies in the most massive galaxy cluster in miniJPAS (mJPC2470-1771).
